Fareedkot Teeka(ਤੁਰੇ) ਘੋੜੇ (ਪਲਾਣੇ) ਕਾਠੀਆਂ ਸੰਜੁਗਤਿ ਪਉਨ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਿਨ ਕਾ ਬੇਗ ਹੈ ਹਰ ਰੰਗੋਂ ਕੇ (ਹਰਮ) ਘਰ ਭੀ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ, ਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਕਰ (ਹਰਮ) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਕੋ ਸਵਾਰਾ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਕਾਠੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ, (ਭਾਵ, ਸਦਾ ਤਿਆਰ-ਬਰ ਤਿਆਰ) ਘੋੜੇ ਹਵਾ ਵਰਗੀ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਚਾਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੁਰੇ = ਘੋੜੇ। ਪਲਾਣੇ = ਕਾਠੀਆਂ (ਸਮੇਤ)। ਵੇਗ = ਤ੍ਰਿਖੀ ਚਾਲ। ਹਰ ਰੰਗੀ = ਹਰੇਕ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ। ਹਰਮ = ਮਹਲ। ਸਵਾਰਿਆ = ਸਜਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਨ-ਮੰਨੀਆਂ ਰੰਗ-ਰਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਹਾਰ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚੀਜ = ਚੋਜ, ਕੌਤਕ, ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ। ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਦੇ ਚੀਜ = ਮਨ-ਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਕੌਤਕ, ਮਨ-ਮੰਨੀਆਂ ਰੰਗ-ਰਲੀਆਂ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਜਰੁ) ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਨਿਕਟ ਆਯਾ ਹੈ ਔ (ਜੋਬਨਿ) ਬਿਸ੍ਯੋਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰ ਦੀਆ ਹੈ॥੧੭॥☬ਦਿਲੀ ਮੇਂ ਸਿਖ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਭੋਜ ਥਾ। ਤਿਸੀ ਸਮ੍ਯ ਸਿਖ ਕੇ ਪੋਤਾ ਜਨਮਾ। ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣੋਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਤਕ ਸੂਤਕ ਕਹਿ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਤ੍ਯਾਗ ਦੀਆ। ਤਿਨੋਂ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਥਾਇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਖ ਬਚਨ ਹੂਆ ਸੂਤਕ ਨਿਰਣੇ ਸੇਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹਨਾਂ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਠੱਗਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੁਆਨੀ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ) (ਗ਼ਫ਼ਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਆ ਦਬਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਾਰਿਆ = (ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਨਮ) ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਰੁ = ਬੁਢੇਪਾ। ਜੋਬਨਿ ਹਾਰਿਆ = ਜੋਬਨ ਦੇ ਠੱਗੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ॥੧੭॥
