Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੇਕਰ ਚੋਰ ਝੁੱਗਾ ਲੁੱਟ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਝੁੱਗੇ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਵਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇ;
Fareedkot Teekaਜੇ ਕਰ (ਮੋਹਾਕਾ) ਚੋਰ ਘਰ (ਮੁਹੈ) ਚੁਰਾਵੇ ਔਰ ਚੁਰਾਕਰ ਪਿਤਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਦੇਵੇ, ਭਾਵ ਸਰਾਧ ਕਰਾਵੇਗਾ, ਭਾਵ ਜਬ ਵਹੁ ਧਨ ਪਿਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਗਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਠੱਗ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਘਰ ਠੱਗੇ, ਪਰਾਏ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਗ ਕੇ (ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਮਿਤ ਦੇਵੇ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੋਹਾਕਾ = ਠੱਗ, ਚੋਰ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਕਟਕ' ਦਾ ਅਖ਼ੀਰਲਾ 'ਕ' ਪ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿਚ 'ਅ' ਬਣ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਰੂਪ 'ਕੜਾ' ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ 'ਮੋਸ਼ਕ' (मोषक) ਤੋਂ (ष) ਦਾ 'ਹ' ਹੋ ਕੇ 'ਮੋਹਾ' ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਮੋਹਕਾ' ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ "ਭੈੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਚੋਰ, ਚੰਦਰਾ ਚੋਰ।" ਘਰੁ ਮੁਹੈ = (ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ) ਘਰ ਠੱਗੇ। ਘਰੁ ਮੁਹਿ = (ਪਰਾਇਆ) ਘਰ ਠੱਗ ਕੇ। ਪਿਤਰ = ਪਿਉ ਦਾਦਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੋ ਮਰ ਚੁਕੇ ਹੋਣ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਤਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਜ਼ ਪਛਾਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਵਡੇਰੇ ਤਸਕਰ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਬ ਉਸ ਵਸਤ ਕੋ ਉਨ ਕੇ ਪਿਤਰ ਜਿਨ ਕਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੇਂਗੇ, ਤੋ ਇਨ ਪਿਤਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਚੋਰ ਕਰੇਂਗੇ, ਵਾ ਸਰਾਧ ਕਰਨੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਪਨੇ ਪਿਤਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਚੋਰ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਤਾਂ (ਜੇ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਪਿਛਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅੱਪੜਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ) ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਸਿਞਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭੀ) ਚੋਰ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਸਤੁ = ਚੀਜ਼। ਪਿਤਰੀ ਚੋਰ ਕਰੇਇ = (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ) ਪਿਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਵਿਚੋਲੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਬ ਇਹ ਝਗੜਾ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਤਹਾਂ (ਦਲਾਲ) ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਨ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਧਾਨ ਕੁਧਾਨ ਨ ਸਮਝ ਕਰ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਵਹਿਤ ਸਰਾਧ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਥਾ। ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਹਾਥ ਉਸ ਸਚੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਮੇਂ ਕਾਟੇ ਜਾਂਇਗੇ। ਜੋ ਏਹੁ ਮੁਨਸਫੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਅਗੋਂ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਇਹ ਚੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ) ਦਲਾਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵੱਢੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਢੀਅਹਿ = ਵੱਢੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਥ ਦਲਾਲ ਕੇ = ਉਸ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਲਈ ਦਲਾਲ (ਵਿਚੋਲਾ) ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁਸਫੀ ਏਹ ਕਰੇਇ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਇਹ ਨਿਆਉਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਵਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਆਗੇ ਵਹੀ ਬਸਤ ਮਿਲਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਖਟੇ ਕਮਾਵੇ ਔ ਅਧਕਾਰੀ ਕੋ (ਘਾਲੇ) ਪਾਵੈ ਪੁਨਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਦੇਵੇ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਅਪੜਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੀਹ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਹੈ?) ਅਗਾਂਹ ਤਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਹੱਥੀਂ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖਟੇ ਘਾਲੇ ਦੇਇ = (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
