ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ = (ਨਿਰ-ਅੰਜਨ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ-ਰੂਪ ਕਾਲਖ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ {ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ} ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਮਰਾਜ ਮਸੂਲੀਆ) ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਦਾ, ਅੱਧੀ ਅੱਧੀ ਘੜੀ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਇਕ ਰੱਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਇਕ ਇਕ ਮਾਸਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਮਰਾਜ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੋਲ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਤੀਅਹੁ = ਇਕ ਰੱਤੀ ਤੋਂ ॥੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੂਜੈ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚ। ਧਾਹੀ = ਢਾਹਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ।

ਖਰੀ ਕੁਆਲਿਓ ਕੁਰੂਪਿ ਕੁਲਖਣੀ; ਸੁਪਨੈ. ਪਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

Sant Singh KhalsaShe is from an evil family; she is ugly and vile. Even in her dreams, she does not meet her Husband Lord. ||6||
Manmohan SinghShe is of mean family very ill-looking and ill-omned. Even in dream she meets not her Husband.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਉਹ ਨੀਚ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੀ, ਬਹੁਤ ਬਦਸ਼ਕਲ ਤੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਲਛਣਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਸੁਫਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੈੜੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਭੈੜੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਭੈੜੇ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੀ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਪੇਕੇ ਘਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੬॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖਰੀ = ਬਹੁਤ। ਕੁਆਲਿਓ = {ਕੁ-ਆਲਯ} ਭੈੜੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ॥੬॥

Sant Singh KhalsaThat soul-bride keeps her Husband Lord clasped tightly to her heart, and through the Word of the Shabad, she enjoys her Husband Lord upon His Beautiful Bed. ||7||
Manmohan SinghSuch bride keeps her Husband clasped to her bosom and through the Name enjoys her Husband on His beauteous couch.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਐਸੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਲੰਘ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਰੂਪੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਪਤੀ ਕੋ ਕੰਠ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਲਗਾਇ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹ ਕਿ ਅਭੇਦ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਤੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਪਤੀ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਕੋ ਭੋਗਤੀ ਹੈ, ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਅੰਤਹਕਣ ਰੂਪੀ ਸਿਹਜਾ ਸੋਭਤੀ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਜ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੭॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਾਮਣਿ = (ਜੀਵ) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਕੰਠਿ = ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ॥੭॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਧੁ = ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ।

Sant Singh KhalsaThey are not honored in this world, and they shall find no shelter in the world hereafter. They are wasting their lives in vain. ||7||

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ (ਭੀ) ਸੋਭਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ, ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗਵਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਲਤਿ = ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਪਲਤਿ = ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ॥੭॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਉਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥੨੯॥੩੦॥
