Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰੰਗ ਚੜਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰ ਰਤਾ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ, ਔਰ ਜਿਹਬਾ ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਕੇ ਲੇਨੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਰੰਗ ਮੇਂ (ਚਲੂਲੀ) ਸਘਨ ਰੰਗੀ ਹੂਈ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਨਿਰੰਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਜਪਤੀ ਹੈ, ਔਰ ਵਹੁ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਜੋ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਭ੍ਯ ਦਿਖਾ ਕਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਾਵਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ (ਨਾਮ-) ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੀ ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਤਾ = ਰੱਤਾ, ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਸਨਾ = ਜੀਭ। ਚਲੂਲੀ = ਗੂੜ੍ਹੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲੀ। ਭੈ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਇ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ॥੧॥

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਮਜਹਬੀ ਕਰਮਕਾਂਡ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
