Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਹੇ ਚਾਰੀ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਭਟਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੇ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਡਾਏ ਹੋਏ, ਸ਼ੇਖ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੂਏ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਮੰਦਰ (ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ) ਅੰਦਰ ਲਿਆ।
Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਸੇਖਾ (ਚ) ਪੁਨਃ (ਚਉਚਕਿਆ) ਠਗਾ! ਤੂ ਮਰਵਾਹਿਓਂ ਖਤ੍ਰੀਓਂ ਕਾ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਥ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਏਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਮੇਂ ਲਿਆਉ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਖੁਦਾ੍ਯ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਕਾ ਭੈ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ। ਇਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ੍ਯ ਸਭ ਪਦੋਂ ਕਾ ਅਰਥ ਲਗਾ ਲੇਨਾ। ਵਾ ਹੇ (ਸੇਖਾ) ਜਗ੍ਯਾਸੂ! ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਸਰਬ ਤੇ ਸੇਸ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੋ ਆਤਮ ਵਸਤੂ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕਰਨੇ ਵਾਲੇ, ਤੈਨੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਜੋ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਆਦਿ ਬਿਕਾਰੋਂ ਕਰ (ਚਉਵਾਇਆ) ਉਠਾਇਆ ਹੂਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਹੂਆ (ਚਉ) ਚਾਰੋਂ ਤਰਫੋਂ ਕੋ (ਚਕਿਆ) ਉਠਾਯਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਤੂੰ ਅਬ ਇਸ ਕੋ ਏਕ ਘਰ ਮੇਂ ਲਿਆਉ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਰਿਦੇ ਮੇਂ ਇਸਥਿਤ ਕਰੋ॥

Fareedkot Teeka(ਏਹੜ) ਇਹ ਜੋ ਦੇਹ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਰੂਪ (ਤੇਹੜ) ਟੇਢਤਾ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਤੀਨ ਗੁਣ ਵਾ ਇਹ ਜੋ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਧਨ ਲੋਕ ਕੀ ਤੀਨ ਇੱਛਾ ਹੈ, ਇਨ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਯਾਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੋ ਪਛਾਣ, ਜੋ ਵਹੁ ਕਯਾ ਕਹਤਾ ਹੈ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਚੰਗਾ) ਖਾਣਾ ਤੇ (ਚੰਗਾ) ਪਹਿਨਣਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
