ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ. ਸਭਿ ਭਰਮਦੇ; ਨਿਤ ਜਗਿ ਤੋਟਾ ਸੈਸਾਰਿ ॥

vin naavai. sabh bharamade; nit jag tottaa saisaar |

Sant Singh KhalsaWithout the Name of the Lord, everyone wanders around the world, losing.
Manmohan SinghWithout the Name, all, ever wander about in the universe and they suffer loss in the world.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਉਠਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਹੀ ਘਾਟਾ ਹੈ;

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਗਿ = ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਤੋਟਾ = ਘਾਟਾ। ਸੰਸਾਰਿ = ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤਿਆ = ਸਤਿ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ।

Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਸੇਖਾ (ਚ) ਪੁਨਃ (ਚਉਚਕਿਆ) ਠਗਾ! ਤੂ ਮਰਵਾਹਿਓਂ ਖਤ੍ਰੀਓਂ ਕਾ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਥ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਏਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਮੇਂ ਲਿਆਉ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਖੁਦਾ੍ਯ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਕਾ ਭੈ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ। ਇਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ੍ਯ ਸਭ ਪਦੋਂ ਕਾ ਅਰਥ ਲਗਾ ਲੇਨਾ। ਵਾ ਹੇ (ਸੇਖਾ) ਜਗ੍ਯਾਸੂ! ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਸਰਬ ਤੇ ਸੇਸ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੋ ਆਤਮ ਵਸਤੂ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕਰਨੇ ਵਾਲੇ, ਤੈਨੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਜੋ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਆਦਿ ਬਿਕਾਰੋਂ ਕਰ (ਚਉਵਾਇਆ) ਉਠਾਇਆ ਹੂਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਹੂਆ (ਚਉ) ਚਾਰੋਂ ਤਰਫੋਂ ਕੋ (ਚਕਿਆ) ਉਠਾਯਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਤੂੰ ਅਬ ਇਸ ਕੋ ਏਕ ਘਰ ਮੇਂ ਲਿਆਉ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਰਿਦੇ ਮੇਂ ਇਸਥਿਤ ਕਰੋ॥
