ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਿਰਜੀ = ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ = ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਰ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਗੋਈ = ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਆਦਿਕ) ਕੂੜ ਦੇ ਸੌਦੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਜ ਧਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਕੂੜਾ ਹੈ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਚੁ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ। ਕੂੜ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੌਦੇ।॥੧੨॥
