andar kapatt sadaa dukh hai; manamukh dhiaan. na laagai |

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਲ ਛਲ ਦੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਧਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਨੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖੋਂ ਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਪਟ ਹੈ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਕਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਗਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖੋਟ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ) ਨਹੀਂ ਜੁੜਦੀ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਪਟੁ = ਖੋਟ। ਮਨਮੁਖ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਧਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ = ਸੁਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੁੜਦੀ।

dukh vich kaar kamaavanee; dukh varatai dukh aagai |
Sant Singh KhalsaSuffering in pain, he does his deeds; he is immersed in pain, and he shall suffer in pain hereafter.

Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਪੀਛੇ ਦੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਅਬ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਕਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਦੁਖ ਹੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਵਰਤ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਭਵਿਖਤ ਕਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਆਗੇ ਦੁਖੋਂ ਕੋ ਹੀ ਪਾਵੈਂਗੇ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਤੀਨੋਂ ਕਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਦੁਖੀ ਰਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਰਤੈ = ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਗੈ = ਅਗਾਂਹ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ।

ਕਰਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੀਐ; ਤਾ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੈ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaBy his karma, he meets the True Guru, and then, he is lovingly attuned to the True Name.

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਮੀ = (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ। ਭੇਟੀਐ = ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾ = ਤਦੋਂ। ਸਚਿ = ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਵਿਚ। ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ = ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਾਨਕ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਸੁਖ਼ੈਨ ਹੀ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਦੌੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਜਪਣੇ ਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ (ਸਹਜਿ) ਨਿਰਯਤਨ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਮ ਔ ਭੈ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ) ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਸਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹਜੇ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ। ਅੰਦਰਹੁ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ। ਭ੍ਰਮੁ = ਭਟਕਣਾ। ਭਉ = ਸਹਿਮ ॥੧॥
