Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕੋ ਸਦਾ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਾ (ਰੰਗੁ) ਅਨੰਦ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਂ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਭਾਇਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰੰਗਣ ਚੜ੍ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਇਆ = ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ) ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕੋ ਗਿਆਨ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ। ਤਿਸ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਰੂਪੀ ਅਤੀ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯਹਿ ਅਵਰਨ ਔਰ ਵਖੇਪ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਸਕਤੀਆਂ ਸਹਤ ਅਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਦੂਰ ਭਯਾ ਹੈ॥੨॥☬ਏਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਪਾਸ ਸਿਖੋਂ ਨੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਆ: ਹੇ ਭਗਵਨ! ਮਨਮੁਖੋਂ ਔਰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕਾ ਕਰਤਤੁ ਕੈਸਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰੋ? ਤਬ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਸਿਖੋਂ ਕੇ ਪਰਥਾਇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਭਏ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਜੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਿਆਨੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਤਿਮਰ = ਹਨੇਰਾ। ਅਗਿਆਨੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ। ਚੁਕਾਇਆ = ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
