ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਛਾਣੂ = ਮਿੱਤਰ। ਜੀਅ ਕਾ = ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ {ਨੋਟ: ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਜੀਉ' ਤੋਂ 'ਜੀਅ' ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ 'ਸੰਬੰਧਕ' ਵਰਤਿਆਂ}। ਇਕੋ = ਇਕ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਹੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੀਅ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਜੀਉ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੇਤੀ = ਨਾਲ। ਰਤਿਆ = ਰੱਤਿਆਂ, ਰੰਗੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ। ਸੰਤਾਪੁ = ਕਲੇਸ਼॥੩॥
