ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੋ = ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਤਿਸੁ = ਉਸ ਦਾ। ਊਜਲੁ = ਰੌਸ਼ਨ, ਚਮਕ ਵਾਲਾ।

Fareedkot Teekaਗੁਰੂ ਜੋ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੰਨ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੂਪੀ ਤਾਪੁ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੈ, ਵਾ ਜੋ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ (ਸੋ) ਉਸ ਪੁਰਸ ਕਾ ਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਤਾਪੁ ਨਿਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭੀ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਤਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਉਮੈ = ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ।
