Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਦੋਂ) ਬਸੰਤ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਹਰੀ-ਭਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਨਸਪਤਿ = ਰੁੱਖ ਬਿਰਖ ਘਾਹ ਬੂਟ ਆਦਿਕ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉੱਗੀ, ਉਤਭੁਜ। ਮਉਲੀ = ਹਰੀ-ਭਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਂਞ ਤਾਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਭੁ = ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ। ਆਖਿ = ਆਖ ਕੇ। ਵਖਾਣੈ = ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਕ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ) ਮਨੁੱਖ 'ਮੈਂ, ਮੈਂ' ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਹਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ = ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜੀਵ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਆਖਦਾ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਲਕ ਵਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੪॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ = ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ, ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਨਾਲ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੪॥
