Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਹੜਾ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ-ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਰਬੰਤਿ = (गर्व = ਅਹੰਕਾਰ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (गर्व् = to be proud)। ਮਦੋਨ ਮਤੰ = ਮਦ-ਉਨਮਤ, ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ (उन्मत्त = intoxicated)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਧਰਦਾ, (ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ) ਤੀਲੇ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ = ਤੀਲਾ (तृणं)। ਸਮਾਨਿ = ਬਰਾਬਰ। ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ (धिक्)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ) ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰ ॥੬੩॥* ਭਾਵ: ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਵਧੀਕੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅੱਤ ਗਰੀਬ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਰਮ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਟਕਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
