Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ) ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣੀਏ, ਤਾਂ ਸੁਖ (ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ = (ਨਿਰ-ਅੰਜਨ) ਮਾਇਆ-ਰਹਿਤ। ਨਿਰਮਲਾ = ਮਲ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ। ਸੁਣਿਐ = ਜੇ ਸੁਣੀਏ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਭਾਵ, ਜੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀਏ) ਤੇ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਈਏ (ਤਾਂ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ) ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੰਨਿ = ਮਨਿ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਜਨੁ ਕੋਈ = ਕੋਈ (ਵਿਰਲਾ) ਮਨੁੱਖ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੈਠਦਿਆਂ ਉੱਠਦਿਆਂ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ;

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਗੁਰਮੁਖ) ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ) ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ (ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਧਾਰੁ = ਆਸਰਾ। ਨਾਮੇ = ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਸੋਈ ਹਰੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਮੇਂ ਬਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਕਰ ਹਰੀ ਪਰਾਇਣ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ॥੫॥☬ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੇ ਉਪਕਾਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਬਲ ਦਾ ਜੀਵ ਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ ਔ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਬਿਅੰਤਤਾ ਜਨਾਵਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ = ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ = ਵੱਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
