Prof. Sahib Singhਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਕਰ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰੇ = (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੇ = ਉਹ (ਕੰਮ)। ਸਤਿ = ਅਟੱਲ, ਠੀਕ। ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਸਮਝ ਕੇ। ਮਾਨਹੁ = ਮੰਨੋ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਨਾਮਿ = ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ। ਰਹਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ = ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੀ) ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਤਿ = ਬਹੁਤ। ਅਵਰ = ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ। ਸਭ = ਸਾਰੀ। ਵਿਸਰਿ ਜਾਇ = ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ) ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਮਿਕ ਹੋਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ = ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ। ਰਹਸੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ। ਮਾਨਿਆ = ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋਤੀ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ। ਜੋਤਿ = ਜਿੰਦ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਆ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਾਇ = ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ = ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਆਇ = ਆ ਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ = ਚਾਨਣ। ਗਿਆਨਿ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਤਤਿ = ਤੱਤ ਵਿਚ, ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ। ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ = ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਦ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਨੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਰੱਬੀ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਤਾੜੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਇਕਾਗ੍ਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਉਸ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ) ਗਿੱਝ ਗਿਆ ॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਤਰਿ = (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ। ਸਹਜਿ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਹਰਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਇ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਇਕਾਗ੍ਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ॥੩॥

Sant Singh KhalsaOne whose heart is filled with falsehood, continues to practice falsehood, even while he teaches and preaches about the Lord.

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ, (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਠੱਗੀ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਨਿਰਾ) ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਾ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅੰਦਰ) ਠੱਗੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁਖਹੁ = ਮੂੰਹੋਂ। ਸੁਣਾਇ = ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ।
SikhNet (Spanish)Aquél en cuyo corazón hay engaño y astucia y además la practica, aún cuando enseñe y discurse acerca del Señor,
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ; ਤੁਹ ਕੂਟੈ ਦੁਖ ਖਾਇ ॥੪॥
antar lobh mahaa gubaaraa; tuh koottai dukh khaae |4|
Sant Singh KhalsaWithin him is the utter darkness of greed. He is thrashed like wheat, and suffers in pain. ||4||
Manmohan SinghWithin him is the great darkness of greed, and pounding husk, he suffers sorrow.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਲਾਲਚ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਮਨ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਲੋਭ ਰੂਪ ਮਹਾਂ ਗੁਬਾਰ ਹੈ, ਫੋਗ ਕੇ ਕੁਟਣ ਕਰ ਦੁਖ ਕਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਭਾਵ ਜੋ ਦਿਖਾਵੇ ਮਾਤਰ ਦੰਭ ਸਹਿਤ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਫਲ ਸੇ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ॥੪॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਲੋਭ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਉਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਦਾਣਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਨਿਰੇ ਤੋਹ ਹੀ ਕੁੱਟਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੋਹ ਕੁੱਟਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਚਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ = ਵੱਡਾ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ। ਕੂਟੈ = ਕੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਖਾਇ = ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ (ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ) ਬੜੇ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ = ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਪਰਚਾ = {परिचय} ਪਿਆਰ।
