Prof. Sahib Singh(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦੀ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਰਧ = {अधस्} ਹੇਠਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ। ਉਰਧ = {ऊध्र्व} ਉੱਚੇ ਮੰਡਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਾਸੀ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਹੀ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ) ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਧਿ = ਮਿਲਾਪ। ਮਾਨੈ = ਪਤੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਉ = ਨੂੰ। ਕਰੀਐ = (ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਕਰੋ।
