Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਭੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ (ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ = (ਸੰਬੰਧਤ 'ਕੀ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤਿਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ)। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਉਚਰੈ = ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਇਉਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮੱਛੀ ਹੈ (ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਮੱਛੀ ਤੜਫ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਸਰਿਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੀਨਾ = ਮੱਛੀ। ਫੂਟਿ ਮਰੈ = ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

jin eeh preet laaee so jaanai; kai jaanai jis man dharai |
Sant Singh KhalsaHe alone knows this love, who enshrines it within his mind.

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ) ਪਿਆਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ) ਉਹ (ਆਪ) ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ (ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ) ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰ) ਟਿਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੇ। ਕੈ = ਜਾਂ। ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ = ਜਿਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਵਹੁ ਪੁਰਸ ਹਰੀ ਕੋ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਸਭ (ਟਰੈ) ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਜੋ ਤਨ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਹੇਤ ਭੋਗੋਂ ਕੀ ਅਤੀ ਚਾਹ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਤੀ॥੪॥੩॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ (ਮਾਇਕ) ਭੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਟਰੈ = ਟਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
