ਖਾਂਦਿਆ ਖਾਂਦਿਆ ਮੁਹੁ ਘਠਾ; ਪੈਨੰਦਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਅੰਗੁ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaBy eating and eating, the mouth is worn out; by wearing clothes, the limbs grow weary.

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਸਦਾ ਦੇ ਖਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਘਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਰ ਹੁੱਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਿੱਸ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਖਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਖਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਮੂੰਹ (ਭੀ) ਘਸ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਨਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੀ ਲਿੱਸਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਹਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ),
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਘਠਾ = ਘਸ ਗਿਆ। ਸਭੁ ਅੰਗੁ = ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਊਣਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ। ਸਚਿ = ਸੱਚ ਵਿਚ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ। ਰੰਗੁ = ਪਿਆਰ ॥੨॥
