ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਰਮਿ = ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ, ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ। ਭੁਲਾਇ = ਖੁੰਝ ਜਾਏ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬੂਝਣੁ = ਸਮਝ। ਇਸ ਨੋ = (ਸੰਬੰਧਕ 'ਨੋ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਇਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ)।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਐਸਾ) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਤਿਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ = ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੀਤਿਆਂ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਲ। ਤਿਖ = ਤ੍ਰਿਹ। ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ = ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਤਿਆਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸੋ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਆ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਬਹੁੜੋ ਆਇਕਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਗੀ ਹੈ॥☬ਕੋਈ ਮਲਾਰ ਰਾਗ ਗਾਵਤਾ ਥਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਥਾਇ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ) ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰੇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ = ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ॥੧॥
