Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਸੋ, ਇਸ ਅਗਨਿ, ਵਾਦੁ, ਭੁੱਖ, ਤ੍ਰੇਹ, ਕਾਲ ਆਦਿਕ ਬਾਰੇ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਉ = ਮੈਂ। ਕੈ ਸਿਉ = ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ? ਪੁਕਾਰ = ਫ਼ਰੀਆਦ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਛ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਦਾਵਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਤਿਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੋ ਭਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋਈ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੇਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਐਸੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਥਾ, ਜੋ ਐਸੇ ਕਲਪਣਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ (ਗਾਵਾਰੁ) ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਮੂਰਖ ਜੀਵ (ਐਵੇਂ ਹੀ) ਹੈਂਕੜ ਵਿਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ) ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਾਵਾਰੁ = ਮੂਰਖ। ਥੀਐ = ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੈ = ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅਗਨਿ ਭੁੱਖ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਚਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਬਚੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਿਰਿ = ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ। (ਨੋਟ: ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਆਪਿ' ਤੇ 'ਆਪੁ' ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਸਮਝਣ-ਯੋਗ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਤਾਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਭੁੱਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਪੁ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ)। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਕਿਸ ਨੋ = (ਸੰਬੰਧਕ 'ਨੋ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਕਿਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ)। ਸਚਿ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ।
