ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਿਰਹੀ = ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ। ਨਿਗ੍ਰਹੁ = ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੋਕਣਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤਿ = ਪਰਮ ਜੋਤਿ, ਪਰਮ ਆਤਮਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਰਮ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ-ਮਿਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਂ; ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਤਿਆਗਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਪਏਗੀ) ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੰਤ = (ਸੰ: तंतु = The Supreme Brahm) ਪਰਮ ਜੋਤਿ, ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ। ਪੁੰਨ = ਭਲਾਈ। ਦਾਨ = ਸੇਵਾ ॥੨॥
* ਨੋਟ: ਈਸ਼ਰ ਜੋਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਦੱਸ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਜੋਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਅੱਨ-ਪੁਰਖ (Third Person) ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹੈ।
