Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਭਰਮੁ = ਭਟਕਣਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ (ਇਸ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ) ਚਾਨਣ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ (ਸਿੱਧਾ) ਰਸਤਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੀਰਤਿ = ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ। ਮਗੁ = ਰਸਤਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਜੁੜੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਕਰਤਾ) ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਸਰਬ ਅਸਥਾਨੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਵਰਤ ਰਹਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ (ਭਾਵੈ) ਭਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਂ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਇਹ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੌਤਕ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਭੁ = ਹਰ ਥਾਂ। ਨਾਇ = ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ।
SikhNet (Spanish)y el mensajero de la muerte no me pudo tocar. Sólo el Creador prevalece en todas partes y aquél que goza de Su Gracia, es entonado en el Nombre del Señor.

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੇਕਰ ਗੋਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰੇ, ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਪੁਰਸ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਸੇ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਜੀਵਨਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਹ) ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ (ਭੀ) 'ਨਾਮ' ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਪਲਕ ਭਰ ਭੀ 'ਨਾਮ' ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਮਰਨ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖਿਨੁ = ਪਲਕ, ਪਲ ਭਰ ॥੨॥
