Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨਿਤਾਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਭੀ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਬਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤਾਣੁ = (ਆਤਮਕ) ਬਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੇਕ ਗਿਰਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦੀ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਸਿ = (ਹਰੇਕ) ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ। ਗਿਰਾਸਿ = (ਹਰੇਕ) ਗਿਰਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਜੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ = ਤੱਕ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਰਸੁ = ਸੁਆਦ। ਕਵਲਾ = ਲੱਛਮੀ, ਮਾਇਆ। ਸੇਵਕਿ = ਦਾਸੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰਮ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ = ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ (ਨਾਮ) ਪਦਾਰਥ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਨਿ = ਤਨ ਵਿਚ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਹਉ = ਮੈਂ। ਸਦ = ਸਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ) ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
