Prof. Sahib Singhਅਵੱਸੋਂ ਹੀ ਐਸੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਐਸੀ ਬਨੀ ਜਰੂਰਤਿ = ਲੋੜ ਅਜੇਹੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਨਿਯਮ ਐਸਾ ਬੱਝਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਅਵੱਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਕਹਾਵੈ = ਅਖਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਨੇਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਨਾਂ ਕਿ ਬਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਰੂਪ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ। ਕੇਵਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣੋਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਲਿੰਙ) ਚਿੰਨਤ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਔਰ (ਝਿੰਙ) ਝਿਕ ਨੀਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੁਭ ਗੁਣੋਂ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਸੇ ਊਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਹੋਵੇ; ਵਾ (ਲਿੰਙ) ਮਰਦ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਔਰ (ਝਿੰਙ) ਹੀਜੜਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਕਾਇਰ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ। ਐਸੀ ਕਰਣੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ (ਸੂਰਤਿ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਹੀਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਸ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ) ਉਹੀ ਜਿਸਮ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਿਸਮ ਅਖਵਾਣ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਰੋਏ ਅੰਗ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਝੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਿੰਙ = ਨਰੋਏ ਅੰਗ। ਝਿੰਙ = ਝੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੰਗ। ਐਸੀ ਕਹੀਐ ਸੂਰਤਿ = ਐਸੀ ਸੂਰਤਿ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸੂਰਤਿ ਕਹੀਏ, ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਔਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਛਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਫਲ ਪਾਇ ਲੇਵੇ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਐਸਾ ਸੰਤ ਹਰੀ ਕੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਕਹੀਤਾ ਹੈ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਹਸਤੀ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ (ਇਸ ਤਾਂਘ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ-ਰੂਪ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਸੁ = ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ। ਓਸੁ ਇਛੇ = ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਤਾਂਘਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੂਰਤਿ = ਮਨੁੱਖਾ-ਜਾਮਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਹਸਤੀ ॥੨॥
