Fareedkot Teekaਅੰਧੇ ਕਾਮੋਂ ਸੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਧਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਬ ਮਨ ਅੰਧਾ ਹੂਆ ਤੌ ਤਨ ਭੀ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕੋਂ ਕਰ ਅੰਧ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਹੀਣ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ, ਤਿਉਂ ਤਿਉਂ ਮਨ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਵਿਚਾਰੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਹੀਣ ਹੋਇਆ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਭੀ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਅੱਖਾਂ ਕੰਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਭੀ ਮੰਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੈ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਧੀ ਕੰਮੀ = ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਹੀਣ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਅੰਧੁ = ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ, ਵਿਚਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ। ਤਨੁ = (ਭਾਵ,) ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ। ਮਨਿ ਅੰਧੈ = ਜੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਦੋਂ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ, ਨਾਹ ਬੇੜੀ ਰਹੀ, ਨਾਹ ਤੁਲਹਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਨਾਹ (ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ) ਹਾਥ ਪੈ ਸਕੀ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੁਲਹਾ = ਹੌਲੀਆਂ ਹੌਲੀਆਂ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੱਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਗੱਠਾ ਜੋ ਦਰੀਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬੇੜੀ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਾਥ = ਡੂੰਘਾਈ, ਥਾਹ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਭਾਵ, ਪਾਣੀ ਭੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਹੋਇਆ), (ਅਜੇਹੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ (-ਰੂਪ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਬੇੜੀ ਤੁਲਹੇ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਈ ਪੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰ ਡੁੱਬਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਥ = ਕਾਫ਼ਲੇ, ਪੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰ। ਕੇਤੇ = ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ॥੩॥
