Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੀ ਦੇਹ ਦਾ ਘੱਟੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਬਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏਗਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਦੇਹ ਰੂਪੀ ਢੇਰੀ ਗਿਰ ਜਾਤੀ ਭਈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਪੰਚ ਤਤੋਂ ਕਾ ਕੋਟ ਥਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੀ ਵਲਗਣ ਸੀ, ਸੋ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਢਹਿ ਹੀ ਪਈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਦਾ = ਦਾ। ਕੋਟੁ = ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ, ਵਲਗਣ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਕੂੜਾ, ਕੂੜਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਤਸਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ (ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਨਿਤ ਖੋਟ ਹੀ ਕਮਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੂੰ ਚੋਰ-ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਠਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭੀਤਰਿ = ਅੰਦਰ। ਖੋਟੁ = ਖੋਟਾ ਕਰਮ। ਵੇ ਜੀਆ = ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ॥੨॥
