Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਗਿੱਝਿਆਂ) ਹੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ;ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਇ ਮੰਨਿਐ = (ਪੂਰਬ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਰਦੰਤਕ, Locative Absolute) ਜੇ ਨਾਮ ਮੰਨ ਲਈਏ, ਜੇ ਇਹ ਮੰਨ ਲਈਏ ਕਿ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਤੀਜ ਜਾਏ, ਜੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਏ। ਗਤਿ = ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਸਾਫ਼ ਦਿੱਸਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੈ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਹੈ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੰਥੁ = (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ) ਰਸਤਾ। ਪਰਗਟਾ = ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ। ਲੋਈ = ਚਾਨਣ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਣੇ ਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਮਨਨ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਨਾਮ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਮਿਲਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਸੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਬਖਸ਼ਤਾ ਹੈ॥੯॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ-ਸਿਮਰਨ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ('ਪਰਗਟ ਪੰਥ') ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ = (ਪੂਰਬ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਰਦੰਤਕ) ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ। ਨਾਉ ਮੰਨੀਐ = ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੰਨ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ 'ਪਰਗਟ ਪੰਥ' ਹੈ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ = (ਅੱਖਰ 'ਨ' ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਅੱਧਾ 'ਹ' ਹੈ)। ਸੋਈ = ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ॥੯॥
