Fareedkot Teekaਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਔਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਕੋ (ਉਚਰੈ) ਉਚਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ, ਭਾਵ ਨਿਕਾਲ ਦੇਵੇ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਏ;ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਉਚਰੈ = ਉੱਚਰੈ (ਉਚ-ਚਰੈ, ਉਚ-ਚਰੈ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਾ ਜਾਏ।
SikhNet (Spanish)y se traga su lujuria, su enojo y su ansiedad, y en el décimo día cierra las diez puertas del cuerpo;
ਦਸਮੀ, ਦਸੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਜੇ ਠਾਕੈ; ਏਕਾਦਸੀ, ਏਕੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ॥

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੇਕਰ ਚੰਦੋ ਦਸਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਦਸਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਲਵੇ, ਚੰਦੋ ਗਿਆਰ੍ਹਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੀ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰੇ,
Fareedkot Teekaਦਸਮੀ ਕਾ ਫਲੋਹਾਰ ਏਹ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਦਸੋ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਬਿਸ਼ਿਓਂ ਕੀ ਤਰਫ ਸੇ ਰੋਕੇ ਔਰ ਏਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੋ ਜਾਨਣਾ ਏਹ ਇਕਾਦਸੀ ਕਾ ਬਰਤ ਰਾਖੇ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਦਸ ਹੀ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੋਕ ਰੱਖੇ (ਇਸ ਉੱਦਮ ਨੂੰ) ਦਸਮੀ (ਥਿੱਤ ਦਾ ਵਰਤ) ਬਣਾਏ; ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਮਝੇ-ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਏਕਾਦਸੀ ਦਾ ਵਰਤ ਹੋਵੇ;ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਸੇ ਦੁਆਰ = ਦਸ ਹੀ ਇੰਦਰੇ। ਠਾਕੈ = ਰੋਕ ਰੱਖੇ। ਏਕੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ = ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸਮਝੇ।

Sant Singh KhalsaOn the twelfth day, the five thieves are subdued, and then, O Nanak, the mind is pleased and appeased.

Fareedkot Teekaਦੁਆਦਸੀ ਕੋ ਪੰਚ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਬਿਕਾਰੋਂ ਕੇ (ਗਤਿ) ਗਵਨ ਕੋ ਵਸ ਕਰ ਰਾਖੇ, ਏਹ ਦੁਆਦਸੀ ਮੇਂ ਬਰਤ ਕਾ ਉਪਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕਾ ਵਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੀਵ ਕਾ ਮਨ ਪਤੀਆਵਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਪੰਜ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖੇ-ਜੇ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੁਆਦਸੀ ਦਾ ਵਰਤ ਬਣੇ, ਤਾਂ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮਨ ਪਤੀਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੰਚ = ਕਾਮ ਆਦਿਕ ਪੰਜ ਵਿਕਾਰ। ਵਸਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ = ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖੇ। ਮਾਨੈ = ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਤੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਮੋੜ-ਪੁਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵਾਸਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੌੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੁਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਐਸਾ. ਵਰਤੁ ਰਹੀਜੈ ਪਾਡੇ; ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸਿਖ ਕਿਆ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੨॥

Sant Singh KhalsaObserve such a fast as this, O Pandit, O religious scholar; of what use are all the other teachings? ||2||
Manmohan SinghO Pandit, observe thou such a fasting. The imparting of any more instruction is of no avail.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਹੇ ਪੰਡਤ! ਤੂੰ ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਉਪਹਾਸ ਰੱਖ। ਹੋਰ ਵਾਧੂ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੇ ਪੰਡਤ ਜੀ! ਐਸਾ ਬਰਤ ਰਖੋ ਔਰ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਕਿਆ ਦੇਣੀ ਹੈ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਜੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਵਰਤ ਨਿਬਾਹ ਸਕੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਰਤੁ = (ਰੋਟੀ ਨਾਹ ਖਾਣ ਦਾ) ਇਕਰਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰਣ। ਰਹੀਜੈ = ਨਿਬਾਹੀਏ। ਸਿਖ = ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ॥੨॥
