Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਅਟੱਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤਿ = ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ। ਸਤਿ = ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ। ਸਾਧ ਜਨ = ਸੰਤ ਜਨ। ਨਿਹਚਲੁ = ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਡੋਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪੂਰੀ) ਸਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਾਵਨੀ = ਸਰਧਾ (ਨਾਲ)। ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਗੁਣ = ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ। ਗਾਉ = ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ। ਉਹ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗਮੁ = ਅਪਹੁੰਚ। ਅਗੋਚਰੁ = {ਅ-ਗੋ-ਚਰੁ} ਗੋ = ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ। ਚਰੁ = ਪਹੁੰਚ} ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ। ਮਿਤਿ = ਮਾਪ, ਵਡੱਪਣ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ। ਘਟ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਆਧਾਰੁ = ਆਸਰਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥੬੩॥੮੬॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਹੁ = ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰੋ। ਤਾ ਕਉ = ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ। ਜਾ ਕਾ = ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ। ਪਾਰੁ = ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ। ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹ = ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ॥੨॥੬੩॥੮੬॥
