Fareedkot Teekaਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਸੇ ਨਾਹੀਂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੋ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਕਿਸੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਯਾ ਹੈ ਅਰ ਨ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੀ ਨੇ ਅਬ ਪਾਯਾ ਹੈ; ਵਾ ਨ ਹਿੰਦੂਓਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਯਾ ਹੈ ਨ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਯਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ('ਜਗ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ') ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, (ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿ) ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ('ਜਗ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ') ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਿਨੈ = ਕਿਨਿ ਹੀ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ। ਪਾਇਓ = ਪਾਇਆ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ, (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਖਿਆਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ) (ਅਸਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਖੁਲ੍ਹਮ-ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਖਿਓਨੁ = ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ-ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ 'ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਆਕਰਣ')।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ (ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ) ਗੁਰੂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ) ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁਕਤ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਇਕ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿਐ = ਜੇ (ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗ-ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੬॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਗ ਜੀਵਨੁ = ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ, ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)। ❀ ਨੋਟ: 'ਪਾਇਓ' ਤੇ 'ਪਾਇਆ' ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਇਹ ਕਰਨੇ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਿਚ 'ਪਾਇਆ' ਤੇ 'ਹੁਣ ਪਾਇਆ' ਵਿਆਕਰਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਪਾਇਓ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਭੂਤ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ। (ਵੇਖੋ 'ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਆਕਰਣ')। ਦੋ ਵਾਰੀ ਉਹੋ ਗੱਲ ਆਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ॥੬॥
