Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਹ ਲਹਿ ਗਈ ॥੩॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਜਲੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ। ਤਿਸ = ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾ, ਤ੍ਰੇਹ। ਤਿਸ ਕੇ = ਤਿਸ ਦੀ {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤਿਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਸੰਬੰਧਕ 'ਕੇ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ} ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰਿਓ = ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰ ਚੇਲਾ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ। ਲਾਜ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ॥੪॥੧॥
