Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ! ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਛਿਨਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਮੇਂ ਸੰਕਲਪੋਂ ਸੇ ਆਵਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਲਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਮੇਂ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅੰਧਾ ਹੈ ਔ ਨੀਚ ਜੋ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਹੈਂ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਹੀ (ਜਾਤਿ) ਉਤਪਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ; ਵਾ ਨੀਚ ਜੋ ਅਨਾਤਮ ਪਾਂਚ ਤਤ ਹੈਂ ਇਨ ਕੀ ਸਤੋ ਅੰਸ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਉਤਪਤੀ ਹੈ। ਔ ਆਤਮ ਪਦ ਕੋ ਛੋਡ ਕਰ (ਪਰਦੇਸੀ) ਅਨਾਤਮ ਦੇਸ ਕਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੋ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ (ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਾਲ) ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰਤਾ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਭੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਟਿਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਧੁਲਾ = ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ । ਨੀਚ ਜਾਤਿ = ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਵਾਲਾ। ਪਰਦੇਸੀ = ਭਟਕਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਖਿਨੁ = ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਿਚ। ਤਿਲੁ = ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਸਮੇ ਵਿਚ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਸ ਰਹਤਾ ਹੂੰ, ਭਾਵ ਐਸੇ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਚਲਤਾ ਹੂੰ। (ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ) ਕਿਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਇਸ ਮੂੜ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੈ ਔ ਤੁਝ ਕੋ ਏਹੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਪਾਵੈ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥☬ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ:
