Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਗ (ਜਾਗ ਪਏ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ = ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ। ਕਰਮਾ = ਕਿਸਮਤ, ਭਾਗ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ (ਫਿਰ) ਸਦਾ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਪਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ = (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ = ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਧਰਮ = ਫ਼ਰਜ਼, ਕੰਮ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਪੁਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੋਂ ਕੀ ਨਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਗਤੀ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਨਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਸਟਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਮਾਨਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੇਂ ਰਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੇਵਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਸਿਰ-ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ) ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਮੋ = ਨਾਮ ਹੀ। ਗਤਿ = ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ। ਪਤਿ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ। ਮਾਨੈ = ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੋਗ = ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
