Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਭੋ = ਹਰ ਥਾਂ। ਸਚੁ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ-ਰੂਪ ਫਲ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਚੁ ਫਲੁ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ-ਰੂਪ ਫਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿਰੀਆਂ) ਮੂੰਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰਧਾਲੂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਕੂੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਕੂੜਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜੋ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ (ਭਾਣਾ) ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨੇ ਸੋ ਤੋ ਭਗਤ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ ।ਭਾਣੇ ਮੰਨੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੋ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਕੱਚ ਤੇ ਭੀ ਵਿਸੇਸ ਕਚ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਨਿਕੰਮਾਂ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਅਸਲ) ਭਗਤ ਹੈ। ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਕੱਚਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਅੱਲ੍ਹੜ ਮਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਚੁ ਨਿਕਚੁ = ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਕੱਚਾ, ਅੱਲ੍ਹੜ ਮਨ ਵਾਲਾ ॥੧॥
