Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਧਨ ਦੀਆ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਜੀਵ ਕੋ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਸਰਬੰਸ ਤਿਸੀ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਚਾਹੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੋਈ ਹਰੀ (ਸੁਘੜ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਵਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲਾ (ਸੁਜਾਨੀ) ਚਤਰ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਸੋ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਾਣ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭੀ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ, ਤਿਸ ਕਾ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਜਿਸੁ' 'ਤਿਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਸੰਬੰਧਕ 'ਕਾ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ}। ਸੋਈ = ਉਹ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਹੀ। ਸੁਘੜੁ = ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲਾ। ਸੁਜਾਨੀ = ਸਿਆਣਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਾਮ-ਹੀਰਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਤਕਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਬੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਇ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਓਹ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਓਇ ਬੀਚ = ਉਹ ਅੰਤਰੇ, ਉਹ ਵਿੱਥਾਂ, ਉਹ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ। ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਬੀਚ = ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਸੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ, ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ। ਬਿਲਾਨੀ = ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜਬ (ਅਲੰਕਾਰ) ਭੂਸਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਕਰ, ਭਾਵ ਤੋੜ ਢਾਲ ਕੇ (ਥੈਲੀ) ਰੇਣੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਡਲੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਤਬ ਸੋ-ਡਲੀ (ਕਨਿਕ) ਸੁਵਰਨ ਹੀ ਕਹੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਅਗਨੀ ਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਰੂਪ ਕੌ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਢਾਲਣਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚੇਤਨ ਸਤਾ ਰੂਪ ਥੈਲੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸੀ ਤੇ ਪਰਪੰਚ ਕੌ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਰੂਪ ਕਹੀਤਾ ਹੈ॥੩॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਇਉਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗਹਣੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਗਾਲੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਰੈਣੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਢੇਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਸੋਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਖਵਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਲੰਕਾਰ = ਗਹਣੇ। ਮਿਲਿ = ਮਿਲ ਕੇ। ਥੈਲੀ = ਰੈਣੀ, ਢੇਲੀ। ਤਾ ਤੇ = ਉਸ (ਰੈਣੀ) ਤੋਂ। ਕਨਿਕ = ਸੋਨਾ ॥੩॥

Fareedkot Teekaਜਬ ਪੂਰਬ ਰੀਤ ਸੇ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਰਿਦੇ ਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਸਾਖਿਆਤਕਾਰ ਹੂਆ, ਤਬ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਅਰ ਸੋਭਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਭਈ। ਤਿਸੀ ਤੇ ਬੇਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਾ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਅਨਹਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਾ ਸੋਹੰ ਆਦੀ ਬਾਜੇ ਬਜਤੇ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸੋਭਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ। ਬਾਜੇ = ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਨਹਤ = ਇਕ-ਰਸ, ਲਗਾਤਾਰ। ਬਾਨੀ = ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਹਚਲ = ਅਟੱਲ। ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਬੰਧਾਨੀ = ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ॥੪॥੫॥
