Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ = ਪੂਰਨ ਖਿੜਾਉ, ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ। ਕੀਜੀਐ = ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਰਾਗ ਤੇ ਨਾਦ (ਭੀ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ (ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਸੁਰਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਬਦਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਜਾ = ਜਦੋਂ। ਸਹਜਿ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ। ਧਿਆਨੁ = ਸੁਰਤਿ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਸੰਸਾਰਕ) ਰਾਗ ਰੰਗ (ਦਾ ਰਸ) ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੇਵੀਐ = ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੀਏ। ਪਾਈਐ = ਪਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਜਬ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੋ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਏ ਤਬ ਮਨ ਤੇ (ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ) ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯਹਿ ਦੇਹ ਅਧ੍ਯਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਤਾ ਹੈ॥੨॥☬ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੀਏ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈਏ, ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ)। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ। ਬੀਚਾਰੀਐ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈਏ ॥੨॥
