ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੂਰਿ = ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ। ਲੇ = (ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਲੈ ਕੇ। ਮੁਖਿ = (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਚੁਤ = {च्युत to fall} ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ। ਗੁਣਾ ਅਚੁਤ = ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਣ) ਨਾਲ। ਪੂਰਨ = ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਦੋਖ ਕਲੀ = ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ, ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ {ਨੋਟ: ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਕਲੀ' ਇਥੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਖ਼ਾਸ 'ਜੁਗ' ਦਾ ਲਖਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ} ॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੜਦਾ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ) ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਖੈ ਅਗਨਿ = ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ (ਵਿਚ)। ਜਲੀ = ਸੜਦਾ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਸ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਹਿ = ਫੜ ਕੇ। ਭੁਜਾ = ਬਾਂਹ। ਜੋਤਿ = ਜਿੰਦ। ਜੋਤੀ = ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ।
