Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੇਵਕ (ਅਖਵਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸਿੱਖ (ਅਖਵਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸਾਰੇ (ਗੁਰੂ-ਦਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ) ਪੂਜਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਉਤਮ = ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ। ਬਾਨੀ = ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਣੀ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸਹੀ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਵੈ = ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ = ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਠੀਕ। ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਸਮਝ ਕੇ। ਮਾਨੀ = ਮੰਨੀ ਹੈ, ਅਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਗੁਰੂ-) ਤੀਰਥ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਾਈ = ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕੀਰਤਿ = ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ। ਤੀਰਥਿ = ਤੀਰਥ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਭਵਜਲ ਤੀਰਥਿ = ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਤੀਰਥ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੀਰਥ (-ਗੁਰੂ) ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਸ ਕੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਸਾਥ ਆਪ ਹਰੀ ਮਿਲਾਵੈਗਾ ਸੋਈ ਹਰੀ ਕੋ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਐਸਾ ਸਮਝ ਕਰ ਔਰੁ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰ ਓਹੀ ਕਥਾ ਹਰੀ ਦਾਸੋਂ ਕੌ ਭਾਈ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਸੇ ਮਿਲਤੀ ਹੈ॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥☬ਨਿਜ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਥਾਇ ਉਪਦੇਸ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਾ (ਆਸਰਾ-ਪਰਨਾ) ਛੱਡ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੋਈ = ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਮਿਲਸੀ = ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਤਿਆਗਿ = ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ। ਓਹਾ = ਉਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ। ਭਾਨੀ = ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥
