Prof. Sahib Singhਹਉਂ, ਹਉਂ; ਮੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੀ ਸਹੇੜੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਟ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਰਣਾ = ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜਨੀ। ਕਿਆ ਪਾਵੈ = ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੇਤੀ ਹੈ = ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜ ਹੈ। ਤੇਤੀ = ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜ। ਕਿਹੁ ਨਾਹੀ = ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਚਾਂਦੀ, ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
