Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ) ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ (ਉਸਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ, ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਖੋਟੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਝਾਕ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਗਦੀਸਰਿ = ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਈਸਰ (ਮਾਲਕ) ਨੇ। ਦੁਰਮਤਿ = ਖੋਟੀ ਅਕਲ। ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ। ਝਾਕ = ਤੱਕ, ਲਾਲਸਾ। ਸਭ = ਸਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਨਾ = ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ। ਕੇਰੇ = ਦੇ। ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ = ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ। ਰਵਿਓ = ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ। ਗੁਪਲਾਕ = ਗੁਪਤ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ = ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਦਿੱਸ ਪਏ। ਤਾਕ = ਭਿੱਤ। ਬਿਖਿਆ = ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਇਹੋ (ਜਿਹੇ) ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਇਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵੱਛਾ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਬਛਰਾਕ = ਵੱਛਾ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਚੰਗੇ) ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ = ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਨ ਅਪਨਾਕ = ਆਪਣੇ ਅਪਣਾ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ।
