ਨਾਨਕ. ਅੰਧਾ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ; ਰਤਨਾ ਪਰਖਣ ਜਾਇ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaO Nanak, the blind man may go to appraise the jewels,
Manmohan SinghO Nanak, if a blind man goes to assay jewels,
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੇਕਰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਵਾਹਿਰਾਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ,
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਅਗ੍ਯਾਨੀ ਹੋਇਕੈ ਰਤਨ ਰੂਪ ਜੋ ਸੰਤੋਂ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਅਰ ਵਾਕ ਹੈਂ, ਜੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਪਰਖਨੇ ਕੋ ਜਾਵੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ਰਤਨ ਪਰਖਣ,

ਰਤਨਾ ਸਾਰ. ਨ ਜਾਣਈ; ਆਵੈ ਆਪੁ ਲਖਾਇ ॥੧॥

Sant Singh Khalsabut he will not know their value; he will return home after exposing his ignorance. ||1||
Manmohan Singhhe shall not know their worth and shall return after making an exhibition of himself.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ (ਝੂਠਾ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ) ਕਰਕੇ ਮੁੜੇਗਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਨ ਰਤਨੋਂ ਕੀ ਤੋ ਸਾਰ ਜਾਨਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਲਟਾ ਅਪਨਾ ਆਪ ਲਖਾਇ ਆਵਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹੁ ਬੜਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਰਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਨਸ਼ਰ ਕਰਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਪਣਾ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ-ਪਨ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
