ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੰਸ = (ਸੰ: हंस) ਜੀਵ-ਆਤਮਾ। ਧੁਰਿ = ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ। ਕਰਤੈ = ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ। ਲਿਖਿ = ਲਿਖ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ) ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।
