Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਫਰੀਦ! (ਇਹਨਾਂ 'ਵਿਸੁ ਗੰਦਲਾਂ' ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਲਕ (-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਰਾਂਦਿ = ('ਵਿਸੁ ਗੰਦਲਾਂ' ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਭਰਮ, ਭ੍ਰਾਂਤਿ, ਸੰਸਾ, ਭਟਕਣਾ। ਲਾਹਿ = ਲਾਹ ਕੇ, ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਚਾਕਰੀ = ਨੌਕਰੀ, (ਭਾਵ,) ਬੰਦਗੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੇ ਦਰਵੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਰੁਖਾਂ) ਬ੍ਰਿਛੋਂ ਜੈਸੀ (ਜੀਰਾਦਿ) ਸਹਾਰਣਾ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਜੈਸੇ ਕੋਈ ਬ੍ਰਿਛੋਂ ਕੋ ਈਟ ਆਦੀ ਮਾਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਬ ਓਹ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਫੂਲ ਫਲ੍ਹ ਲਕੜੀ ਆਦੀ ਦੇਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੬੦॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲੋੜੀਐ = ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੀਰਾਂਦਿ = ਧੀਰਜ, ਸਬਰ। ਦਰਵੇਸ = ਫ਼ਕੀਰ। ਨੋ = ਨੂੰ ॥੬੦॥
