* ਨੋਟ: ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ 'ਘਰੁ ੨' ਦਾ ਚਲਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ੧੮ ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਚਉਪਦੇ' ਹਨ; ਫਿਰ ੬ ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਪੰਚਪਦੇ' ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਫਿਰ 'ਚਉਪਦੇ' ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਰ ਹਨ। ਵੇਖੋ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਚਉਪਦੇ' ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਅੰਕ ੪। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਚਉਪਦੇ-ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਬੰਦ ਵਿਚ 'ਚਉਪਈ'-ਮੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਘੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ੪ ਤੁਕਾਂ ਹਨ, 'ਦੋਹਰਾ'-ਮੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤੁਕਾਂ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ਵਿਚ 'ਚੌਪਈ'-ਮੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੁਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੋ ਦੋ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਲਿਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। * ਨੋਟ: ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੁਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਦੋ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਧੀਆ ਦੱਸੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ-ਤੀਰਥਵਾਸੀ ਉਹੀ ਸਮਝੋ ਜੋ ਪੰਚਰਾਸੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ 'ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗੈ' ਤਾਂ 'ਘੁੰਘਰੂ ਵਾਜੈ' ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਹੈ। ਜੇ 'ਆਸ ਨਿਰਾਸੀ' ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ 'ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ' ਹੈ। ਜੇ 'ਜੋਗੀ ਜਤੁ' ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ 'ਕਾਇਆ ਭੋਗੀ' ਹੈ। ਜੇ 'ਦਇਆ' ਹੈ, ਜੇ 'ਦੇਹ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ' ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ 'ਦਿਗੰਬਰ' ਹੈ। ਜੇ 'ਆਪਿ ਮਰੈ' ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ 'ਅਵਰਾ ਨਹ ਮਾਰੀ'। ਇਸੇ ਹੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਤੁਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ; ਭਾਵ, ਉਹੀ ਹੈ 'ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ' ਜੋ 'ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ' ਹੈ। ਸੋ, ਪਹਿਲੀ ਤੁਕ ਦੇ ਪਾਠ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤਾਂ' ਉਤੇ ਬਿਸਰਾਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਅਰਥ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ' ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਜਾਂ' ਵਰਤਣਾ ਹੈ।
