Fareedkot Teekaਗੁਰੂ ਜੋ (ਦੇਵ) ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਰੂਪ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤਤਵੇਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋਈ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਪੁਨਃ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਹੀ (ਸੁਆਮੀ) ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਉਪਜੀਵਕਾ ਹੋ, ਉਸ ਕੋ ਭੀ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਪਿਉ ਹੈ (ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ), ਗੁਰੂ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਖਾ = ਮਿੱਤਰ। ਅਗਿਆਨ ਭੰਜਨੁ = ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਬੰਧਿਪ = ਸੰਬੰਧੀ। ਸਹੋਦਰਾ = {ਸਹ = ਉਦਰ = ਇਕੋ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਹੋਏ} ਭਰਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਰੋਧਰਾ = ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਨ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਮੰਤੁ = ਉਪਦੇਸ਼।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ = ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ। ਜਪਿ = ਜਪ ਕੇ। ਉਧਰਾ = (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਗੁਰ) ਪੂਜ੍ਯ ਅਰ (ਦੇਵ) ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਰੂਪ ਸਤਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕਾ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ। ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਐਸੇ ਹਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਵਾ ਹਰ ਬਾਰੀ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teeka੧ ਇਕ ਸਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਕੀਆ, ੨ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਸਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕਾ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਕੀਆ, ੫੨ ਸਲੋਕੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਅਖਰੋਂ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਭ ਅੰਗ ੫੫ ਪਚਵੰਜਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਹੁ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਚਰਣ ਰੂਪ ਸਲੋਕ ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤ ਮੇਂ ਪੜ ਲੈਣਾ ਪਾਠ ਮੇਂ ਦੋ ਵੇਰ ਲਿਖਣੇ ਕੀ ਆਸੰਕਾ ਕਰ ਛੋਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ॥☬ਏਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜੀ ਰਾਮ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਪਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਬੈਠੇ ਥੇ। ਤਬ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬੁਢਾ ਜੀ ਔਰ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਾ ਸਰਬ ਸਿਖੋਂ ਨੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੀ, 'ਸਚੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੀਤਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰੀ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਸਹਸ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਆਦੀ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਠ ਹੈ, ਤੈਸੇ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਕੇ ਉਦਾਰ ਹੇਤ ਜਹਾਜ ਰੂਪ ਬਾਨੀ ਆਪ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਂ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰੀਏ'। ਸੋ ਚੌਬੀਸ ਅਸ਼ਟਪਦੀਆਂ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰੀਆਂ। ਬਾਣੀ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਆ। ਚੌਬੀਸ ਹਜਾਰ ਇਸ ਕਾ ਅਖਰ ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪਾਠ ਕਰੇ ਅਥਵਾ ਸੁਣੇ, ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਅਸਟ ਪਹਰ ਮੇਂ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਵਾਸ ਨਿਕਸਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋ ਸਭ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਔਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹਾਤਮ ਹੈ ਸੁਖੋਂ ਕੀ ਮਣੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਅਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
