Prof. Sahib Singh(ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਧੂ ਸੂਦਨੁ = {ਮਧੁ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ} ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ। ਉਰ = ਹਿਰਦਾ। ਧਾਰਿ = ਟਿਕਾ ਕੇ, ਵਸਾ ਕੇ।

    Fareedkot Teekaਦੇਹ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਪਾਂਚ ਚੋਰ ਵਿਸਿਓਂ ਕੀ ਓਰ (ਧਾਤੂ) ਧਾਵਨੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਥੇ, ਸੋ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਉਪਦੇਸੀਓਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਕਰ ਨਿਕਾਲ ਦੀਏ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
  
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਰੀਰ-ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ (ਵੱਸ ਰਹੇ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪੰਜਾਂ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਹੀ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਨਗਰਿ = ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ। ਤਸਕਰ = {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ} ਚੋਰ। ਧਾਤੂ = ਧਾਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ। ਸਬਦੀ = ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਕਾਢੇ ਮਾਰਿ = ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਨਾਲ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਸਵਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੇਤੀ = ਨਾਲ। ਮਾਨਿਆ = ਗਿੱਝ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਰਜ = {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ} ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ। ਸਵਾਰਿ = ਸਵਾਰੇ, ਸਵਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਚੁਕੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚੂਕੀ = ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ। ਮੁਹਤਾਜੀ = ਗ਼ਰਜ਼। ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ = ਸਹਾਇਤਾ। ਕਰਤਾਰਿ = ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ॥੨॥

    Sant Singh KhalsaIf something were beyond the realm of the Lord's Power, only then would we have recourse to consult someone else.

Prof. Sahib Singhਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਹੋ ਹੀ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਤਾ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ। ਮਸੂਰਤਿ = ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ। ਕੀਜੈ = ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਗਿਰਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਨ = ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। 'ਜਿਨਿ' {ਇਕ-ਵਚਨ}। ਸਾਸਿ = (ਹਰੇਕ) ਸਾਹ ਨਾਲ। ਗਿਰਾਸਿ = (ਹਰੇਕ) ਗਿਰਾਹੀ ਨਾਲ। ਸੇ = ਉਹ {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਸਾਚੀ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ। ਬਣੇ = ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਏ ॥੩॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਹਰੀ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਤੇਰੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗਮ = ਅਪਹੁੰਚ। ਧਰਣੇ = ਰੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

    Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਮਤਿ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕੋ (ਪਾਇਆ) ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸ ਮਤਿ ਕਰ ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪਾਰ ਪਏ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥☬ਭਾਦ੍ਰੋਂ ਬਦੀ ਸਤੇਂ ਕੋ ਏਕ ਪਖੰਡੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਕਹਾ: ਕਲ ਕੋ ਜਨਮ ਅਸ਼ਟਮੀ ਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀ ਜਨਮ ਧਾਰੇਗਾ। ਠਾਕੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਵਰਤ ਕਰੋ ਔਰ ਸਿਖੋਂ ਸੇ ਭੀ ਕਰਵਾਵੋ ਔਰ ਠਾਕਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਚਰਨਾਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭੀ ਲੇਵਹੁ। ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਥਾਇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੂਆ:
  
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਨਿ = ਜਨ ਨੇ, (ਜਿਸ) ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ। ਪਾਰਿ ਪਵਣੇ = ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥
