ਲਾਲਿ ਰਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ; ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

laal rataa man maaniaa; gur pooraa paaeaa |2|

Sant Singh KhalsaAttuned to the Beloved Lord, the mind is appeased, and finds the Perfect Guru. ||2||

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਉਹ ਜੋ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜ ਕੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਾਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਲਾਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਾਲਿ = ਲਾਲ (ਰੰਗ) ਵਿਚ। ਰਤਾ = ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਉ = ਮੈਂ। ਸਾਰਿ = ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ। ਤੂ ਵਸੈ = 'ਤੂ ਹੀ ਤੂ' ਦਾ ਬੋਲ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹਜੇ = ਸਹਿਜ ਵਿਚ, ਅਡੋਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ। ਰਸਿ = (ਨਾਮ-) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ। ਰਸੈ = ਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਿੱਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ। ਗਾਇ = ਗਾ ਕੇ। ਰੰਗਿ = ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਰੰਗੇਤੜਾ = ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾ ॥੪॥

Sant Singh KhalsaThe self-willed manmukh wanders around, deluded by doubt; he does not enshrine love for the Lord.
Manmohan SinghAn apostate goes astray in doubt and he enshrines not love for the Lord.

Prof. Sahib Singhਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ।

Sant Singh KhalsaHe dies as a stranger to his own self, and his mind and body are spoiled. ||6||

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਨਿਖਸਮਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਰਸੀ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਗਵਾ ਬੈਠੇਗਾ। ਵਿਡਾਣਾ = ਓਪਰਾ, ਨਿਖਸਮਾ। ਭੰਗੁ = ਤੋਟ, ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ॥੬॥

Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇਕੇ, ਭਾਵ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਾ ਲਾਭ (ਘਰਿ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਆਣਿਆ) ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਕਾਰ (ਭਗਤੀ) ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ) ਲਾਭ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਆਂਦਾ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਾਹਾ = ਲਾਭ। ਆਣਿਆ = ਲਿਆਂਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਕਤੁ = ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜੀਵ। ਭਵੈ = ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਵਾਈਐ = (ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਿਹੁ ਦੀਵੀ = ਦਿਨ ਦੀਵੀਂ, ਚਿੱਟਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ। ਅੰਧ ਘੋਰੁ = ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ। ਘਬੁ = ਘਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ। ਮੁਹਾਈਐ = ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਰਬਿ = ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁਸੈ = ਚੁਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੂਆਈਐ = ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਏ ॥੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਹ = ਜਿਧਰ, ਜਿਥੇ। ਦੇਖਉ = ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ।
