ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਹੁ = ਮਨ ਤੋਂ। ਅਹਿ = ਦਿਨ। ਨਿਸਿ = ਰਾਤ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਕੁਟੀ = ਛੋਟੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ, ਡੰਗੋਰੀ, ਸੋਟੀ। ਟੋਹਣੀ = ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਡੰਗੋਰੀ (ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਟੋਹ ਟੋਹ ਕੇ ਰਸਤਾ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਨਿਵਾਜਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੂੰ (ਪਰਗਟ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ 'ਹਉਮੈ' ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
