Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮਾਇਆ) ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਕੁੱੜਤਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਬੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਖੈ = ਬਿਖ ਦੀ, ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ, ਮਾਇਆ ਰੂਪ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ। ਸਗਲ = ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ। ਜਗਤਿ = ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਰਹੀ ਲਪਟਾਇ = ਚੰਬੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
