ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁਆਇ = ਸੁਆਰਥ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ। ਸੁਆਉ = ਸੁਅਰਥ।

ਸਬਦੁ ਚੀਨਹਿ ਤਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਲਹਹਿ; ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaBut if they contemplate the Word of the Shabad, they obtain the Mansion of the Lord's Presence, and their light merges in the Light.

Fareedkot Teekaਸੋ ਜਬ ਗੁਰ (ਸਬਦੁ) ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਤਬ (ਮਹਲੁ) ਅਪਨੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਕੋ ਜਾਣ ਲੇਵੈ ਔ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਜੋਤ ਇਸ ਜੋਤੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਮੇਂ ਸਮਾਇ ਜਾਵੈ, ਭਾਵ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋਵੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਣ ਤਾਂ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ (ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ-ਰੂਪ ਅਸਲ) ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਣ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੌ ਸਦਾ ਅਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਮੇਂ ਵਰਤਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਆਤਮ ਅਨੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਵਹੁ ਸੇਵਕੋਂ ਕੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਸਾਥ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਲੇਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ, ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਪਣੈ ਘਰਿ = ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਸ ਕੋ (ਰਜਾਇ) ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਨੇ ਸੇ ਸਭ ਪੂਰੀ ਪੜ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
